| From: Yogesh Sharma, StellentIT [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] JDE & AS400 Developer Remote Phone + Skype Job description: Key Skills: JDE World (not One World which is cloud based and more recent); RPG; CL (control language); AS/400 Position Summary: The JDE World/AS400/RPG/CL Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of JDE World software applications running on IBM AS400 systems. The role requires in- depth knowledge of RPG (Report Program Generator) and CL (Control Language) programming languages. The analyst will work closely with business users, IT staff, and management to identify, design, and implement solutions that meet the organization's needs. Responsibilities: Application Development: o Design, develop, and maintain custom applications within the JDE World environment. o Write, debug, and optimize RPG, RPGLE, and CL code for existing and new applications. o Implement software enhancements, patches, and upgrades in line with business requirements. System Support: o Provide day-to-day support for JDE World applications, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them in a timely manner. o Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation. o Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and support the IBM AS400 system environment. Business Analysis: o Work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications. o Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and feasibility studies for new projects and enhancements. o Create and maintain documentation related to systems, processes, and procedures. Project Management: o Lead and participate in various IT projects related to JDE World and AS400 systems, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget. o Coordinate with vendors and third-party consultants to deliver solutions that meet business requirements. Training & Support: o Train and mentor junior staff and end-users on JDE World applications and AS400 systems. o Develop and maintain user manuals and training materials. Qualifications: Education: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: o 5+ years of experience working with JDE World on AS400 systems. o Extensive experience with RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL. o Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) World functional modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution. o Knowledge of AS400 system administration and security is a plus. Skills: o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. o Ability to work independently and in a team environment. o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. o Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
