Job Description

Working in a team environment, the Technical SAM Solution Specialist as an individual contributor is responsible for implementing, engaging, and assisting customers in understanding and managing of different SAM Solutions.  The Technical Solution Specialist is also responsible for keeping the customer SAM Team aware of technology changes and what are the best practices for different solutions.

         Key Focus and Objectives for Role:

o   Leverage ServiceNow SAM Pro or other SAM tools for data collection, normalization, reconciliation, and other features as needed.

o   Data collection and upload of customer contract and license entitlement information received from customers, software partners, and resellers.

o   Execute Proof of Concepts in customer environments

o   Support and train customers, the SAM team on deployed SAM Solution

o   Manage and support SAM solution.

         Roles & Responsibilities:

o   Lead the end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow SAM Pro

o   Initial setup, configuration, and troubleshooting related to SAM Pro implementation.

o   Customizations and Scripting knowledge in ServiceNow.

o   Assist and provide support on technical issues.

o   Experience in enhancing the SAM Processes. Manage and maintain the SAM platform.

o   Work with the customers to address current issues and future uses of the system.

o   Import/ manage license entitlement in the SAM platform.

o   Regular maintenance, patches, and upgrade activities

o   SaaS integrations configuration & troubleshooting and other integrations required to bring consumption information in ServiceNow.

o   Experience with reclamation rules, and other administration activities like custom publisher part number, Custom product etc.

o   Experience with contract management modules, Software models, Procurement Module

o   Report and Dashboard Management

o   Knowledge of ServiceNow discovery and inventory requirement w.r.t SAM

o   Help the licensing SME with the tool compliance generation.

     Functional /Technical Competence:

o   Advanced technical skills regarding system platforms

o   Solid understanding of IT environments and infrastructure (Infra and Networking)

o   Knowledge of CMDBs, and Software Management tools/solutions highly desired.

o   Familiarity with ITSM tools like Service Now, Remedy etc. is desired.

         Experience: (Must Have)

o   At least 7-8 years of proven experience in SAM/ITAM

o   ServiceNow SAM Pro Platform knowledge

o   Full-time graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology / Equivalent diploma in IT.

o   Excellent communication skills

         Experience: (Nice to Have)

o   One or more of the following certifications: ITILv3; CSA, CAD, CIS - SAM

o   Any other Tool experience, preferably in the IT asset management area covering Flexera, snow software.

         Personality:

o   Understand complex business processes and IT management processes.

o   Communicate complex ideas efficiently and effectively, both verbally and in writing

o   Identify and adapt to different communication styles.

o   Adapt to changing business requirements.

o   Ability and desire to effectively analyze large and complex sets of structured data.

o   Problem solves in a logical, well-reasoned fashion.
