Job Title: Project Manager IT Infrastructure Build Experience: 14+ Years Duration: Long Term Location: Onsite in Kyle, TX(Preferred only Locals) Work Hours: 10-hour days Visa: GC and USC Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take charge of an ongoing IT infrastructure build for a giga factory data center in Austin, TX. This is a critical role, as the project is already in progress, and the previous PM has departed. The ideal candidate will have a strong personality, excellent customer-facing skills, and significant experience managing large-scale data center infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Assume leadership of the ongoing IT infrastructure project, ensuring smooth continuation and successful completion. Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the project team, managing expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction. Team Management: Oversee and coordinate a large team of 200-300 staff, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the build-out of the data center's IT infrastructure, including cabling, racks, servers, and related components. Timeline and Budget Management: Ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals. Problem Solving: Address any issues or roadblocks that arise during the project, using strong decision-making skills to keep the project on track. Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and any necessary changes. Qualifications: Experience: 8+ years of project management experience, with a strong background in IT infrastructure builds for data centers. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams (200-300+ staff) on complex, high-stakes projects. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and stakeholders. Problem Solving: Proven problem-solving abilities, with a track record of overcoming challenges in large-scale projects. Work Ethic: Willingness to work 10-hour days to meet project demands. Personality: Strong, assertive personality with the ability to lead and motivate teams in a high-pressure environment. Preferred Qualifications: Data Center Experience: Previous experience specifically in managing the construction or expansion of data center IT infrastructure is highly desirable. Project Continuity: Experience taking over and successfully managing projects that are already in progress.
