Job Overview: Baer is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer to join a federal remote project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end of web applications, ensuring the seamless integration and performance of all components. Key Responsibilities: Front-End Development: o Develop and maintain web application front ends using AngularJS. o Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces. o Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize front-end performance. Back-End Development: o Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot. o Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes clusters. o Integrate and manage Oracle databases for efficient data storage and retrieval. Messaging & Data Integration: o Write Java programs to interact with Kafka using Confluent Kafka. o Configure and manage Kafka Connectors for seamless data integration between systems. o Ensure the reliability and scalability of messaging and data processing pipelines. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps. o Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback. o Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, ensuring high availability and performance. Required Experience: Full Stack Development: o 3-5 years of experience in full stack development, focusing on Java and web technologies. Front-End Expertise: o Proficiency in AngularJS and JavaScript for front-end development. Back-End Expertise: o Strong experience with Java Spring Boot for developing backend services. o Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. o Solid understanding of Oracle databases and SQL. Messaging Systems: o Familiarity with Confluent Kafka, including writing Java programs for Kafka and configuring Kafka Connectors. Additional Skills: o Experience with other front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js. o Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. o Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Security Clearance: The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance. This clearance requires completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
