What Youll Do: Program computers according to specifications from software engineers, systems analysts, or other computer scientists Develop, test, and maintain computer programs, ensuring they perform correctly Design and test the logical structure for problem-solving with computers Update, repair, modify, and expand existing computer programs Convert project specifications into computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and systems Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate the sequence of steps programs must follow Analyze workflow charts and diagrams, understanding computer capabilities and symbolic logic Discuss program intentions, data inputs, outputs, and internal checks with supervisors and department representatives Continually learn new programming techniques to meet user requirements Outline development plans using structured analysis and design and seek user approval Design computer terminal screen displays to meet user needs Code detailed instructions for the computer to follow Input and test data within the computer system Monitor computer programs and correct syntax or logic errors Rewrite programs for increased efficiency or to meet new requirements Compile and document program development and revisions Write user manuals and operating instructions Provide user support and troubleshoot operating problems Work with systems analysts to understand project specifications May install and test programs at user sites and monitor post-implementation performance May specialize in programming for business or technical applications Train others in the use of programs Assist computer operators with problem-solving related to running computer programs What You'll Need Required: Bachelors degree in computer science or software engineering Experience with Pro-Watch 4.5 or similar access control systems Experience with NeverFail Continuity Engine Experience with Jazz Experience with SharePoint Experience with Windows Server Experience with SQL Server Strong understanding of computer systems, architecture, and software development principles Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes including planning, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment Ability to develop logical structures for solving complex computational problems Experience with updating, repairing, modifying, and expanding existing programs Knowledge of programming techniques and best practices Skill in preparing flowcharts and diagrams to represent program operations Analytical skills to understand and apply computer capabilities and symbolic logic to program design Effective communication skills for collaborating with supervisors, department representatives, and end-users Familiarity with structured analysis and design methodologies Physical Demands: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Thanks & Regards Mike Henry Senior IT Recruiter Email: [email protected] Keywords: information technology Senior System Engineer - Any State Client Exp - Above 14 Yrs Exp [email protected] |
