You will be responsible for crafting comprehensive performance test plans, developing and executing performance tests, and analyzing test results to identify and address performance bottlenecks. Key Responsibilities: Performance Test Planning: Develop detailed performance test plans aligned with non-functional requirements (NFRs). Define test strategies, objectives, and scope for various performance tests (load, soak, scalability, stress, etc.). Performance Testing: Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools like NeoLoad, JMeter, and LoadRunner. Design and execute performance tests to simulate real-world usage scenarios. Monitor and analyze test results using tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and New Relic. Performance Analysis and Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies. Analyze test data to measure performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Application Monitoring and Observability: Build and maintain dashboards using Grafana to monitor application performance. Establish service level agreements (SLAs) to define performance expectations. Implement logging and tracing mechanisms for effective troubleshooting. Automation and Framework Development: Develop frameworks to automate repetitive tasks in the performance engineering lifecycle. Create reusable components and libraries for efficient test execution. Cloud-Based Performance Testing: Leverage AWS or Azure platforms to run performance tests in cloud environments. Optimize performance for cloud-based applications. Communication and Collaboration: Proactively communicate project requirements and progress to project teams and stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with development, testing, and operations teams. Motivate and mentor team members to achieve project goals. Problem-Solving: Employ a methodical approach to troubleshoot performance issues and identify root causes. Think critically and creatively to propose effective solutions. Required Skills and Experience: Strong proficiency in performance testing tools like NeoLoad, JMeter, and LoadRunner. Experience with application monitoring and observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic). Expertise in building dashboards using Grafana. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and their performance optimization techniques. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in performance testing (e.g., HP LoadRunner, JMeter). Experience with performance testing of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
