Position:  Mainframe COBOL/Assembler Developer Location: remote Rate:65/hr Duration: Long term Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in mainframe development, with a strong focus on COBOL and Assembler. Technical Skills: Proficient in COBOL, Assembler, JCL, and other mainframe languages. Experience with IBM mainframe tools such as IBM Debug Tool, File Manager, and Rational Developer for System z (RDz). Knowledge of CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Familiarity with source code management tools like Endevor or Changeman. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a mainframe environment. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
