The SAM Analyst will play a critical role in managing software licenses, ensuring compliance, optimizing software usage, and supporting the overall SAM strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for technology. Key Responsibilities: Software License Management: o Track and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements. o Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets and associated licenses. o Monitor software usage and optimize license allocation to reduce costs. o MUST HAVE: SALESFORCE LICENSING HANDSON EXPERIENCE Compliance and Audit: o Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing terms. o Prepare and present compliance reports to management. o Assist in responding to vendor audits and resolving any discrepancies. Data Analysis and Reporting: o Analyze software usage data to identify trends, usage patterns, and areas for optimization. o Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on software asset management metrics. o Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve software utilization. Vendor Management: o Maintain relationships with software vendors and negotiate licensing agreements. o Stay informed about changes in software licensing models and terms. o Collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues related to software licenses. Process Improvement: o Develop and implement processes for effective software asset management. o Continuously improve SAM practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. o Assist in the development and maintenance of SAM policies and procedures. Collaboration and Support: o Work closely with IT, procurement, and other departments to ensure alignment on software asset management objectives. o Provide support and training to staff on software asset management best practices. o Participate in SAM-related projects and initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Experience: o 2+ years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or a related field. o Experience with SAM tools and software (e.g., Flexera, Productive, Aspera, ServiceNow, Snow License Manager) is preferred. Skills: o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. o Excellent organizational and time management abilities. o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. o Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications: (Good to Have) Certification in Software Asset Management (e.g., CSAM, ITIL) is a plus.
