| Job Description: Profile: Mid to Senior-Level AWS Data Engineer Location: Newark, NJ (2-3 days a week in office) . Visa: H4-EAD,GC EAD About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our team at IBM. This role is ideal for professionals with a robust background in data engineering and a strong proficiency in AWS technologies. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex data solutions, contribute to large-scale projects, and leverage financial services experience to drive impactful results. Key Responsibilities: Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, and AWS Lambda. Data Warehousing: Implement and manage data warehousing solutions with Amazon Redshift or Amazon RDS, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. ETL Processes: Build and optimize ETL processes for large datasets, ensuring data integrity and performance across various systems. Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, including on-premises and cloud-based data sources, using AWS data integration tools and best practices. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Security and Compliance: Ensure that data solutions adhere to security standards and compliance requirements, especially in financial services. Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years working extensively with AWS technologies. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS services such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and AWS Data Pipeline. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Python or Java for data processing. Financial Services Experience: Experience working in the financial services industry is highly preferred, including familiarity with financial data models and regulatory requirements. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty) are a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
