| From: Raj Malhotra, Simplify Software Experts [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Senior Data Analyst Department: Business Intelligence Reports to: Data Services Manager Location: Coppell, TX Major Accountabilities Ideation Participate and lead in design sessions to understand customers functional needs; Work with solution architect and development team to build quick prototypes leveraging existing or new architecture. Define non-functional requirements as backlog to deliver the desired business functionality. Build pipelines for data to be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and systems, both operational and analytical systems using or processing that data. Provide end to end flow for data processes, map technical solutions to the process. Proactively seeks out and acts on both internal and external customer feedback on development capabilities and opportunities for improving solutions Document prototype outcomes and provide a path for operational readiness Design Understand physical solution architecture and how solutions will fit into delivery model. Define Non-Functional Requirements for the proposed architecture, log and resolve code issues, maintain standards and compliance Ensure proposed designs and implementation meet requirements from architecture, security, and the business Perform hands on coding to demonstrate pattern implementation for the development team with minimum guidance Analysis and Development Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze and interpret complex datasets. Ability to draw meaningful insights from data and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to translate business questions into data queries and interpret data in the context of business objectives. Strong skills in SQL for querying databases and extracting data. Experience working with relational databases. Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and preparation for analysis. Must Have: Technical expertise: Strong technical expertise in the data field, including experience with data warehousing, data processing, and data analytics. Data modeling and architecture: Knowledge of data modeling and architecture principles, including data warehousing, data integration, and data management. Azure expertise: Experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Databases and Azure Synapse Analytics. Data warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing principles and experience designing and implementing data warehouses. Programming skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python. Problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze complex data problems, identify potential solutions, and implement effective solutions. Project management: Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, resource allocation, and risk management. Business acumen: Understanding of business processes and operations, and the ability to translate business needs into data requirements and solutions. High attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated strong team player skills focused on group success. 5+ years of professional data analyst work experience. 2+ years of experience in Azure technology stack. Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline: Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences or related field. Great to Have: 7+ years of data analysis experience. 3+ years of development experience in building solutions in Azure architecture. 3+ years working on a development team practicing agile scrum. A master's degree or relevant certifications can be a plus.
