Position : Technical Project Manager (Experience - Manhattan WMS or Similar) Location : ( Hybrid) Manhattan, NY Duration :12+Months Mode of interview : Video Job description : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of our Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in project management and in-depth experience with Manhattan WMS solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful deployment of the Manhattan WMS, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Manhattan WMS, including planning, execution, and delivery. Develop and manage project plans, ensuring all phases of the project are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with key stakeholders to gather and document detailed project requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications for the Manhattan WMS implementation. System Configuration and Integration: Oversee the configuration and customization of the Manhattan WMS to meet organizational requirements. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and manage data migration processes to ensure accuracy and integrity. Team Management: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, warehouse operations staff, and external vendors. Foster collaboration and ensure that all team members are aligned with project objectives. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to the Manhattan WMS implementation. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges and keep the project on track. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions. Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing phase, including system functionality and performance testing. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues identified to ensure the system meets all requirements. Training and Support: Develop and execute training programs for end-users to ensure effective use of the Manhattan WMS. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during and after the implementation phase. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, training materials, and status reports. Ensure that all documentation is current and accessible to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Assess project outcomes and processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Apply lessons learned and best practices to future projects and implementations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on WMS implementations. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS solutions or similar warehouse management systems. Skills: Proven track record of managing complex technical projects and delivering results. Strong understanding of Manhattan WMS functionalities and warehouse management best practices. Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management abilities. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with project management tools and software. Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations, supply chain management, and inventory control. Understanding of system integration, data migration, and IT infrastructure. Preferred Attributes: Experience with specific Manhattan WMS modules (e.g., Manhattan SCALE, Manhattan Active WM).
