Title: - Data Extraction Specialist Location: Remote Duration: - 4+ Months Client: MKS Instruments Visa: - US Citizen or Green Card Holder Interview Process :- WebEx/Video Only DOXIS Doxis is an enterprise content management (ECM) and document management system (DMS) developed by SER Group, a European software company. Doxis is designed to help organizations manage, store, and retrieve large volumes of documents and content, as well as automate business processes and workflows. It's used to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Current Environment: Currently in the documentation process of the "as is" system There are 12 applications sitting in Doxis right now and they are still figuring out the requirements of each one They can't figure out the requirements until the data is extracted The project was supposed to finish in December, but they are behind because they lack engineering capabilities and previously had a poor PM The migration will happen in batches to ensure there is data protection Position Summary SharePoint will be where they're migrating some of the applications. The other target systems have yet to be determined. First want to extract the data into a format that is usable into any kind of system- whether this is SharePoint or Salesforce, unsure of where it will ago right now. Prior to this step, need to get to the raw data. Need someone who knows how to extract data, files, and workflows from SER Doxis System Must be able to get the information out and then push forward to the target Doesn't need to be a Doxis expert Some applications are just document libraries with meta data, but others are more complex Could be a Full Stack Developer who can step in and explore it Have a Dev system and QA Systems-- candidates should be curious enough to get in there, test and take the time to learn and extract Pure data person who's done this with something but not just SharePoint Right now focus is extraction, has to be done right to move to the next step of the project The team has a ton of SharePoint experience already, so not looking for someone who only has SharePoint experience Position Overview: We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist to join our team and assist with the migration of data and applications from Doxis and CSV systems to new platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in data extraction and migration, with a focus on working with complex systems and large-scale data. Key Responsibilities: Data Extraction & Migration: Lead the extraction of data, files, and workflows from the SER Doxis system into a usable format for integration into various target systems, including SharePoint System Analysis: Analyze current Doxis/CSV systems to determine requirements and best practices for data extraction and migration. Target System Integration: Collaborate with the team to identify and integrate data into target systems, including SharePoint, while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data. Complex Data Handling: Work with applications ranging from simple document libraries with metadata to more complex systems, ensuring all data is properly extracted and ready for migration. Testing & Validation: Utilize the development and QA systems to thoroughly test data extraction processes, ensuring successful migration to the next phase of the project. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including those with SharePoint experience, to ensure a smooth transition and integration of data into the new platforms. Qualifications: Proven experience in data extraction and migration from complex systems, preferably including SER Doxis or similar platforms. Strong understanding of data structures and the ability to extract raw data for use in multiple systems. Experience with SharePoint is a plus, but the ideal candidate should have experience beyond just SharePoint. Ability to work with development and QA systems to test, validate, and ensure accurate data extraction. Strong problem-solving skills, with the curiosity and initiative to explore and understand new systems and platforms. Experience with full-stack development is a plus, but not required. Preferred Experience: Experience with Doxis or similar systems. Experience in extracting data from platforms other than SharePoint, such as Salesforce or other enterprise systems.
