Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with specialized experience in Basel regulatory frameworks and IDN (Integrated Data Network) systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets, ensuring compliance with Basel regulations, and supporting data management initiatives within American Express. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management tools, and a deep understanding of financial regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to support business decision-making. Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide insights into financial performance and risk management. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within data sets to inform strategic initiatives. Basel Compliance: Ensure all data-related processes and reports comply with Basel II/III regulatory requirements. Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to monitor and report on capital adequacy and risk exposure. Participate in regulatory reporting and audits, providing accurate and timely data as required. IDN Management: Oversee and optimize the Integrated Data Network systems to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility. Coordinate with IT and data engineering teams to implement enhancements and resolve issues within the IDN infrastructure. Ensure data integrity and security across all IDN platforms. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, risk, compliance, and technology teams to support various projects and initiatives. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across different business units. Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and best practices. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and regulatory compliance to drive innovation within the team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis within the financial services industry. Proven experience working with Basel II/III regulatory frameworks and compliance reporting. Experience with Integrated Data Network (IDN) systems and data management. Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing concepts. Understanding of risk management principles and financial modeling. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
