The role analyzes user requests for new functionality to develop functional and system specifications. It also works with training and development staff to create and enhance user and technical documentation. The position also writes concise, testable system requirements to define what the end users need the system to do in a manner understandable to the technical staff. Job Duties: -Understands the business requirements, rules, procedures, and job functions in the magisterial district courts and court of common pleas. -Provides detailed analysis of issues reported through the helpdesk. Works with the helpdesk, trainers, and end-users to fully understand user problems and issues. Guide systems developers based on user needs. -Effectively manages calls through the issue-reporting lifecycle. -Uses SQL and other tools to perform basic queries to troubleshoot issues and analyze or validate data. -Reviews user requests for metadata for validity. Works directly with County Customization and/or developers to implement additions and updates. Performs tests to ensure the accuracy of metadata. -Writes system requirements, program change requests, and report descriptions. Coordinates requirement review sessions to assist developer staff in understanding proposed changes. -Elicits system and business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, and workflow analysis. -Develops test plans for new functionality and bug fixes. Identifies and facilitates necessary metadata additions and updates. Tests new functionality and bug fixes and report issues or problems to the developers. Coordinates the trainer testing process. -Participates in design meetings as part of the analyst team. Reviews, screens, forms, and reports prototypes against defined requirements. -Participates in and prepares documentation for external committee meetings. -Performs data clean-up and validation activities to ensure the accuracy of system information and data provided for Public Access Requests. -Develops and maintains standard, statewide forms using Adobe and Word as provided by the rules of court, statutes, and rules committees for use by law enforcement and public and county agencies. Minimum Qualifications -Experience with SQL, Adobe, and Word -Three years of professional experience related to systems analysis.
