Requirement Job Summary: Delta Air Lines is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in JAVA, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, Oracle Database, and Angular to join our team. This role is based in Minneapolis, MN, and requires candidates to be local as it is a hybrid position with three days per week in the office. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud engineering, preferably within an airline technology environment. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop business, application, data, and infrastructure solutions. Optimize performance, maintain, and troubleshoot application components as required. Ensure solutions meet Non-Functional Requirements such as scalability, reliability, availability, observability, and fault tolerance. Adhere to Deltas methodology, standards, and procedures throughout development. Write front-end and back-end code, following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices. Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment scripts. Configure services such as databases and monitoring tools. Provide on-call production support for issues from development to production. Prototype and demonstrate new features to users, ensuring compliance with requirements. Collaborate with technical teams, business units, and product managers to align development with business goals. Ensure solutions align with security and compliance frameworks. Implement Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or in a related technical role. Proficiency in JAVA, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, Oracle Database (table design, queries, optimization), and Angular. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies. Demonstrated experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools. Experience engineering software within Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other enterprise cloud providers. In-depth understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and Test Driven Development (TDD). Basic knowledge of Application Security principles and 12-factor application development. Experience with source control and build tools such as GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.). High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Experience working in an airline technology environment.
