Client is looking for a System Administrator client is a leading technology solutions provider, collaborating with customers to manage their needs and achieve success in their business goals. Position Overview: An experienced Systems Administrator with expertise in Microsoft systems administration, VMware, and infrastructure management. This role is focused on providing comprehensive support for a 50-user environment with 10 hypervisors and 100+ virtual machines. The ideal consultant will have over 5 years of experience in system administration and a strong background in Active Directory, SCCM, patching, and server buildouts. Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Microsoft systems, focusing on: Active Directory (AD) administration, including Group Policy Objects (GPO) management and organization. Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) configuration and management. Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patching and updates. Domain Name System (DNS) management. Manage VMware infrastructure, including vCenter monitoring and support for VX Rail or VSAN environments. Perform server buildouts, including racking and deploying infrastructure for Operational Technology (OT) projects. Handle laptop imaging using MDT. Oversee backups and disaster recovery processes. Manage and maintain security certificates through Microsoft Certificate Authority (MS CA). Utilize ManageEngine tools (AD Manager, AD Audit) for auditing and management. Perform inventory management using Lansweeper. Support the deployment of new infrastructure and equipment. Collaborate on cross-functional IT projects, providing technical expertise and hands-on support. Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in systems administration. Proficiency in Microsoft systems administration (AD, GPO, SCCM, WSUS, DNS). Experience with VMware infrastructure, including monitoring and troubleshooting. Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning (e.g., Veeam and PPDM). Familiarity with inventory management tools (e.g., Lansweeper). Strong understanding of certificate management (MS CA). Experience with imaging tools like MDT. Ability to manage infrastructure deployment and server buildouts. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Experience: Experience with VxRail or vSAN. Experience with OT projects and infrastructure deployments. Familiarity with ManageEngine tools (AD Manager, AD Audit).
