| Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer Location: Detroit, MI, United States (100% onsite - Must be local) Employment Type: Contract Rate: $50/hr on c2c Primary Responsibilities: Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC): Work with Terraform, PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, and YAML languages. Cloud Operations: Design, implement, and monitor scalable and secure cloud services. Ensure automated systems are dependable, highly successful, and fault-tolerant. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles. Participate in peer programming and code reviews. Secondary Responsibilities: Collaborate with other teams to define, estimate, and implement requirements for new automations or services. Assist in debugging issues in production. Work with Compliance and Security teams to ensure compliance with required controls. Qualifications: Education: BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or a technology-related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 4+ years of Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code concepts and tooling. Hands-on experience with PowerShell, CLI, REST APIs, and ARM Templates. Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, or GKS. Experience with Microsoft Windows 11, Windows Server, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Active Directory. Additional Skills: Familiarity with Configuration Management/Orchestration utilities (Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Chef, Puppet). Experience with Agile Development methodologies using Jira or Azure DevOps Boards. Experience in deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) or similar platforms. Understanding of cloud concepts, including elasticity, security, and identity management. Nice to Have: Experience working for a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), Managed Service Provider (MSP), or SaaS provider.
