Job Description:

(General Overview of the role): Python Developer / Software Engineer will partner with research and engineering teams to develop and deliver python based applications to solve complex analytical problems. Basic Function: Developer Job Responsibilities (Day to Day Activities of the Role): *Partner and collaborate closely with engineers and researchers to develop, support, and deploy proprietary new python developed analytic solutions *Integrate different applications and systems together (e.g., building APIs, web services, add-ons, etc.) *Develop solutions to automate application and system sustainment processes *Provide application sustainment support (e.g., deploy software upgrades, coordinate issue resolution, configure application services/servers, design security models & system architecture, etc.) Soft Skills: *Collaborative *Analytical strong sense of curiosity and ingenuity to quickly learn new engineering domains *Self-starter *Proficient in English (written & oral) *Accepts criticism / feedback *Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration Technical Skills: *Write clean, concise, robust and well-documented python code. *Proficient in use of pandas & numpy *Proficient in developing and leveraging APIs and web services *Proficient in Software development Tool Chains (e.g. make, GIT, Visual Studio, TFS, Jenkins, Travis) *Strong understanding of web services and object oriented principles. *Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban) *Strong understanding of Relational Database Management Systems & Database Modeling Fundamentals (SQL Server 2012+, Spark, T-SQL) *Ability to Profile/Debug using tools (e.g. VS Profiling) *Other: Software engineering principles, API Integration, DEVOPs methodologies (continuous integration & delivery), test automation, parallel computing paradigms (e.g. shared/distributed memory), understanding performance and analyzing algorithm complexity Desired Skills or Experience: *Proven ability to quickly learn new engineering domains (e.g., production planning, scheduling, fuel blending, etc.) well enough to interact effectively with company domain experts *5 years, or more, of work experience designing, developing, and supporting new python based applications and integrating applications across multiple systems and platforms *Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and stakeholders *Self-motivated and driven to learn *Proven ability to work well in an agile team environment (e.g., Kanban & SCRUM) and with global teams *Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration Education: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other engineering discipline or Equivalent

Endpoint Management Technical Resource Developer. Automate Digital Experience Monitoring/Remediation

Importance of the role

In the evolving landscape of Hybrid Work, user-centricity is paramount for LOral Americas. We are seeking a skilled Endpoint Technical Resource with strong development expertise and experience supporting Windows PC and macOS environments. This individual will develop scripts to resolve end-user issues proactively, gather data from our endpoint management platforms to track compliance, and continuously improve the user experience.

Role positioning

Reporting to the AMER Endpoint Management Director based in the USA, this role is an integral part of the Americas Infrastructure Modern Workplace Team

Context:

- LOral has a total of 18,000 end-users and 400 applications in the Americas Zone (75,000 end users globally Americas).

- The LOral Americas Infrastructure Team provides infrastructure services to all the Americas Zone in a context of a cloud-first strategy.

- Modern Workplace covers Digital Collaboration, Endpoint Management, Identity and Access Management.

Responsibilities

As the AMER Endpoint Developer Technical Resource, you will:

- Design and build new scripts and applications to remediate known endpoint issues and enhance the user experience.

- Improve and maintain existing remediation scripts.

- Develop processes for exporting data by leveraging API calls to our endpoint management systems (Intune, SCCM, Tanium, Azure, Graph API, Citrix, ServiceNow).

- Implement all development using a DevOps process, utilizing CI/CD pipelines within a Scrum Agile framework.

- Build and maintain scripts and processes to automate the creation and modification of ServiceNow tickets based on KPIs that drive endpoint compliance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Security, Applications) to ensure seamless integration of end-user computing solutions with other systems and platforms.

- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and develop comprehensive technical designs and implementation plans.

- Build automation solutions to manage all facets of the end-user computing environment.

- Create custom reports using SQL, Microsoft Graph API, KQL, and Power BI.

- Proactively identify and address significant bugs or issues impacting the user experience through automation scripts, documenting processes for support teams.

Experiences and Expected Qualities

The ideal candidate will possess:

- 5+ years of experience

- English proficiency

o Expertise building code with PowerShell, Phyton, .Net

o Expertise in building/Consuming API call/functions to interact with SaaS/PaaS application services

o Expertise building/following agile, scrum, sprints development process to build applications.

o Experience with DevOps application fundamentals and expertise with Azure DevOps or GitHub
