The position: Linux Remediation Engineer Client: State Street Bank Location: Quincy MA (Remote is ok IF they can work east coast hours- preferable EST/CST time zone) Max C2C Rate: $55 C2C Visa: USC, GC onl Key Requirements 5+ years of Active Directory and Windows 5+ administration/troubleshooting/security 5+ years working in security implementations for Windows and Linux 5+ systems engineering Good understanding of PowerShell and Linux shell scripting e.g. python Financial services experience The Linux/Windows Compliance Remediation Engineer is responsible for analyzing system security reports to identify compliance issues across Linux and Windows operating systems. The role involves developing and executing remediation plans to ensure systems align with the organization's security standards and regulatory requirements. A strong background in Linux and Windows administration, along with knowledge of compliance frameworks, is essential. The engineer must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and identify the root causes of compliance failures. Clear communication skills are also vital for documenting remediation procedures and collaborating with system administrators to ensure successful implementation.
