| Title: VDOT -Investment Planning Senior Project Manager PMP Location: Richmond, VA (VDOT) (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months with possible extension Minimum 15 yrs exp required Interview Type: Both Webcam and In Person Interview *Preferably local candidates. *Candidate MUST possess PMP certification through PMI or VITAs PM certification. No other certification qualifies. *Candidate must also be able to work onsite 2-3 days/week. *Contractor will be responsible for purchasing parking through VDOTs Parking Management Office or procuring their own parking. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Information Technology Division is seeking a Contract Project Manager to manage and deliver a complex IT project(s) with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to an aggressive delivery schedule. Under the VDOT Program Manager, the Contract Project Manager is responsible for the outcome of the assigned projects. The selected candidate will: Serve as the technical project management point of contact between VDOT and potential product and services vendors to communicate and coordinate technical aspects of procurement and investment planning. Partner with VDOT Contract Administrator to develop and execute the lifecycle of procurement documents in a manner that adheres to VITA and VDOT Procurement Standards. Prepare project documents for formal handoff to designated stakeholders for execution. Provide technical oversight, monitoring and guidance in the development of Statements of Work, Requests for Information and Contracts related to the procurement of software and hardware products and services, creating new procurement-related documents as required. Ability to program and create custom reports using IT application standard tools. SKILLS: Current Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years experience managing large-scale projects involving technology procurement Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles. Balance business/technical background with sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to technology teams. Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server) Bachelors degree Experience with VITAs Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and ECOS/COVRamp process is strongly preferred. Experience with the core Commonwealth IT procurement processes (RFP, VITA Statewide Contract, and CAI SOW) is preferred. Preferred: Agile Scrum Master certification Special Instructions to Applicants: This position requires a fingerprint-based background check.
