(work EST hours) Long Term Contract/ Contract to hire Job Description: Our client is looking for a rock star Big Data Engineer to support an internal business stakeholder with their big data capabilities, being responsible for supporting technical initiatives in data engineering, data analytics and software integration. The candidate must come from a true big data environment run on the AWS Cloud. Python coding and SQL querying skills must be top-notch since this position is very technical. Our client is looking for a junior-mid data engineer, so the ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience. Required: BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics and/or EE Expertise in Python Coding Expertise in structuring complex, advanced queries in SQL Test-driven development Building unit tests Nice to have: Spark experience Data Architecture Experience AWS expertise with services related to big data S3, EC2, EMR Previous big data engineering experience Remarks: Must work EST hours. Favor engaged candidates who can travel to FINRA for PWP with no issue.
