Job Overview:
We re looking for a Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will plan, direct and coordinate all operational activities.
Will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and leading the organization to meet/exceed our operational metrics.
The candidate will manage team leaders, warehouse / logistics associates.
The Manager is an experienced individual with years of extensive Distribution Center Management hands-on experience who understands the importance of process, efficiency, cost reduction/control, client SLA (Service Level Agreements) and SOW's (Scope of Work).
They will be a Team Player with clear communications and will also work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.
The Manager provides Senior Management with the necessary assistance, guidance, and advice to ensure good practices in standard methodologies and processes.
Also provides leadership to Specialists, Analysts and Associates, ensuring that assigned team members meet or exceed goals.

Responsibilities:
All related activities within the Client warehouse space including management / direction of the warehouse staff.
Developing a warehouse team to pick/ship /receive all client equipment/inventory on a timely basis, ensuring SLA's are met on a consistent basis.
Ownership of the facility Heath and Safety Program.
To comply with Health, Safety and Environmental rules / Act to ensure the safety of all employees, contractors and stakeholders.
Prepares required reporting, basic budget, forecast, headcount, supplies requirements for their operational area within the timeline provided, and develops implementation/delivery plans.
All Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory activities ensuring accuracy and compliance to company / client standards.
Hiring / training staff for all related roles within the Distribution Center as well as any disciplinary action required.
Develop methods/processes to ensuring efficiency and cost are always forefront.
Improving performance, productivity, efficiency our your direct reports. Communicate regular status updates on critical or unique opportunities

Monitor Key Performance Indicators of projects in operations
Improve operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being
Develops, refines, and maintains plans, policies, and procedures for all operating activities
Identifies, prioritizes, and communicates all system and process issues that affect productivity and efficiency, and provides input and support for necessary improvements
Duties may include, but are not limited to, creating or maintaining operation policies, return procedures, scheduling, quality assurance, billing, cost analysis, reporting, or inventory reconciliation.
Achieving all defined metrics, KPI s and forecasts
Develop and maintain a staff training matrix ensuring coverage for all repairs by client
Works closely with internal and external teams as well as the client on daily activities, new projects and new accounts ensuring client requirements are exceeded.
Manages Distribution Center staff with the assistance of the Team leaders within the location on a daily basis, including hiring, vacation/time off tracking/approvals and disciplinary actions as required.
Monitors all Distribution Center activities maintaining / developing metrics to effectively and efficiently run the operation achieving client SLA s / SLO s while achieving budgeted costs or better.
All transportation activities for the facility
Troubleshoot any shipment differences with the required internal / external teams to resolution
Working with all carriers to ensure deliveries and pickup's are as-required to meet client needs/SLA's
Pick / Pack / Receive goods as per client / system specifications, ensuring proper labeling and storage of goods.
Ensure all client SLA's/SLO's are achieved without penalties
Gives input to Senior Managers on performance of assigned staff.
Involved in new client implementations as well as existing client additions / changes to scope of work (SOW) while ensuring the most efficient process is developed and followed.
Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Lead the team to meet/exceed all departmental metrics

Takes full responsibility for the day-to-day operational activities
Bachelor s degree with technical or business emphasis with Warehousing/Logistics operations and 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, plus 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

Additionally:
Also requires an in-depth knowledge of Operations Management within a Distribution environment, good problem solving skills, organizational skills, and communication skills, combined with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Health & Safety Certified Management Member.
