Summary: The Level 2 Engineer - Oracle DBA will be a part of the database team, ensuring optimal database performance, security, and integrity. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and hands-on technical work with and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and performance tuning Key Responsibilities: - Manage MongoDB and Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. - Conduct performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery operations. - Collaborate with other teams to optimize database performance and integration. - Establish and enforce database development standards and best practices. - Monitor database performance metrics and adjust configurations, as necessary. - Provide technical leadership in database strategy, including architecture, design, and scalability. - Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to Oracle databases. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. - 9+ years of experience in database administration or engineering, with a strong focus on Oracle. Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backup, recovery, and tuning for both Oracle and Vertica. Expertise in database design, performance tuning, and optimization. - Proficient in SQL and database scripting. - Experience with database security practices and disaster recovery planning. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills: - Certifications inOracle Database Administration. - Experience with cloud database services (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Knowledge of NoSQL databases and their deployment in hybrid environments. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
