In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture across the organization, with an emphasis on ensuring the quality, consistency, and governance of master data. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Architectural Review Board (ARB), existing data team, platform teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the companys strategic goals. Business Challenge This opportunity is supporting the APi Group organization as it establishes and implements the strategy around business platforms, including but not limited to the Field Service Management (FSM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. The intent is to transition operating companies and branches onto platforms in a strategic manner that optimizes and expedites value capture as well as minimizes disruption to the business. This program will also encompass legal entity rationalization and shared services establishment discussions as necessary to facilitate the system and platform moves. The scope of the program includes both business transformation and technology across the company in several phases over the next 2-3 years. Summary of Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of scalable and robust data architectures, ensuring they align with business objectives and IT strategies, with a particular focus on Oracle MDM. Architect and maintain master data models and schemas, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple systems. Ensure that these models are optimized for performance and scalability. Establish and enforce data quality standards and practices across the organization, implementing data quality tools and processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Utilize Azure cloud platforms, including Azure Synapse/ Databricks, to integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow and availability for analytics and business intelligence. Develop and define data integration strategies, ensuring seamless data flow between the MDM system and various systems, including ERP, CRM, and other critical business platforms. Partner with the Architectural Review Board (ARB) to align data architecture with enterprise standards and best practices. Collaborate with the Business Lead to develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data management standards. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements, deliver high-value data solutions and support analytics and reporting needs. with a focus on MDM. Monitor and optimize data architecture for performance, ensuring that data processing and retrieval are efficient and effective. Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows, with specific guidelines for MDM implementation and management. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, cloud technologies, and master data management. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, with an emphasis on MDM best practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of relevant work experience in data architecture, data modeling, data engineering, and database management for on-premises and cloud-based data environments. Expertise in Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality solutions, including implementation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong experience with Azure data services, including Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, and SQL Data Warehouse. Experience with ETL tools, data integration technologies, and database management. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java. In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices, particularly in the context of MDM. Experience with big data technologies and data processing/streaming tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across time zones and with diverse teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality. Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into effective data solutions. Be comfortable navigating a matrixed organizational structure. This role will be a full-time resource dedicated to the ExCAL program. Primary work direction and day to day responsibilities will lie with the program leadership team, while aligning closely with our IT data leader on data strategy, technical standards, patterns, and other critical decisions as outlined by the programs decision making framework. Experience working in an onshore-offshore delivery model that spans time zones.
