Has ability to write SQL queries for DB2 and Oracle data bases. Secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management. Strong shell scripting and Linux command line skills. Internals of OS (Windows, Linux) to write interoperable & performant code. ZOS familiarity. Has skills in test driven and behavior driven development (TDD and BDD) Advanced design patterns (e.g., singleton, factory, composite, observer, all from the GoF) to design solutions. Apply tools (e.g., Sonar, Checkmarks ) and techniques to scan and measure code quality Agile development : to estimate requirements (e.g., story pointing) and prioritize. Orchestrate release workflows and pipelines and apply standardized pipelines via APIs to achieve CI and CD objectives using industry standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, XL Release, others). Awareness of security standards and RFCs - X.509 Certificates, SSH Keys, PGP encryption.
