Job Title: Business Analyst - Loan Domain Location: locals to Reston, VA (Need locals) Job Type: Full-Time MOI: Video Skill : Agile Need: Independent or W2 Candidate Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders and loan department teams to identify requirements for loan processing systems. Analyze and document business processes related to loan origination, loan servicing, underwriting, and credit approval. Develop detailed functional requirements, use cases, and user stories for loan management systems. Participate in the design and testing phases, ensuring solutions meet business needs and compliance requirements. Conduct gap analysis to determine system limitations and recommend process improvements for loan systems. Work closely with IT teams to translate business needs into technical specifications for system development. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), coordinating with users to validate system functionalities. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, including financial and legal compliance. Track and manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications throughout project lifecycles. Prepare reports, flowcharts, and presentations for management to provide insight into loan processes and project progress. Identify opportunities for automation in loan processing to improve operational efficiency. Required Skills and Experience: Experience in the Loan Domain: Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst working in the loan processing or lending industry. Knowledge of Loan Management Systems: Strong understanding of loan origination, servicing, underwriting, and credit analysis processes. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and system workflows, providing solutions for process improvements. Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools, modeling tools (e.g., Visio), and loan-related systems. Familiarity with SQL, loan origination systems (LOS), and reporting tools is a plus. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at identifying issues in loan systems and processes, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with lending regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices. Project Management: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT, or related field. Experience in working with lending software or platforms like Encompass, Calyx, or others. Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) are a plus.
