Just as long as they have some other scripting language and willing to learn), Linux, Windows, and Good understanding of TCP/IP, Knowledge in protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1 x). ( they do not have to have hands on experience but understand these concepts because that is the software they will be developing. If someone has this experience developing these types of software then they are an A++ candidate. Familiar with network equipment configuration (Switch, Router, FW). Windows-based networks, domain management Low-level network monitoring and sniffing Professional Skills: Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in software development or sustaining engineering preferably in Network or Endpoint security Past technical leadership experience Deep knowledge of software engineering concepts and techniques. C/C++ experience Experience in Java programming Perl experience Linux/Unix development experience.
