Responsibilities: Application Development: Analyze, design, code, test, debug, and document programming on assigned applications to meet business requirements. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in SAS programming, including Base SAS and SAS Macro Programming. Have a deep understanding of data analytics concepts and techniques. Unix Environment: Be comfortable and experienced working in a Unix environment, including file system navigation and shell scripting. Data Integration: Connect SAS applications to external data stores, ensuring seamless data flow and integration. Enterprise Miner: Possess hands-on experience with Enterprise Miner, a powerful data mining tool. Code Development: Create and maintain customized code in SAS, leveraging macro programming and other advanced techniques. Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure project success. Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve user problems and issues related to SAS applications. Testing: Define test plans, write test cases, and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure application reliability. Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8+ years of experience as an Application Developer with a focus on SAS programming and data analytics. Strong proficiency in SAS programming, including Base SAS and SAS Macro Programming. Excellent data analytics skills and the ability to extract meaningful insights from data. Hands-on experience with Unix file systems and shell scripting. Experience working with control M and shell scripting (nice to have). Knowledge of Python (nice to have). Ability to create and maintain customized code, rather than just maintaining existing code. Experience with software engineering principles and methodologies.
