You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our database systems.Responsibilities: Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including updates and patches. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and schema design. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or in a similar role. Skills: In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL database architecture and features. Experience with SQL and PL/pgSQL programming. Familiarity with database design, data modeling, and normalization. Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting. Experience with backup and recovery techniques. Knowledge of database security best practices. Familiarity with PostgreSQL tools and extensions (e.g., pgAdmin, pgBackRest, PostGIS). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus. Certifications: PostgreSQL certification or related certifications are a plus.
