Candidates that were reviewed to this position previously weren't technical enough for an enterprise engineering role and were more geared for a technical support team. We are not looking for tech support employees, but it is OK if that is in their previous work experience. Focus on individuals with a background in engineering solutions versus technical support candidates. Candidates who are determined by the interview committee to be making misleading or inflated statements on their resume shall cause all candidates to be submitted by a vendor to be rejected, so please vet the resumes and candidates thoroughly. Top Three Skills: Experience with Hardware testing and deployment History of being a part of the decision-making process on selecting equipment standards PowerShell scripting or other experience in developing software packages / updates and/or pushing out applications using a device management system. Notes: Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote subject to change at any time. Work location is currently a 1555 W. Touhy Ave, but may be moved to the new UAL facility by the NOC next year. What days will be in-office and remote: Variable on need. But usually Tues-wed-Thurs in the office, and Mon & Friday WFH. Overview: The End User Hardware Engineer provides technical expertise specific to hardware to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of the enterprise. It is critical that this role be a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures which support the enterprise's managed infrastructure along with ensuring operational stability. This role is responsible for implementing reliable Hardware solutions that maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure as well as meet the customer objectives. Works effectively in a team to establish commonalities with IT peers across the enterprise. Core Responsibilities Capturing business and technical requirements for hardware solutions when engaged to support specific projects or new adoptions. (Laptops / Desktops / Displays / Mobile Devices / Printers / Scanners / Payment Devices/ MTR Kits / Conference Room Camera / Audio Equipment / Misc. Peripherals, etc.). Make decisions around hardware configurations and systems specifications. Coordinating and leading in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of solutions on an enterprise-wide scale (hardware, software, systems tools, and IT processes). Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware deployments (Bios/firmware/drivers). Design and document enterprise standards and procedures. Ensure proposed solutions and platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.). Maintain lifecycle of hardware across the enterprise with over 100k devices. Minimum Requirements: 2+ years of dynamically responsible work experience in Endpoint Engineering. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position Desired Technical Experience: Workspace ONE System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Intune BIOS/UEFI Active Directory Group Policy Querying SQL database Knowledge of SharePoint design Standardized benchmarking and comparative analysis PowerShell HP Client Management Tools (HPIA/CMSL/MIK) Dell Command Suite WebJet Admin Portal Airline industry experience MacOS Other skills: Communication Skills- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication at the appropriate level.
