Assess and deploy new database technologies to support business objectives and long-term goals. Enforce strong database security measures and work with Security and Server support teams to resolve technical problems. Tune database performance, handle data integrity, and ensure system availability. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and related tools in a multi-database setting. Strong understanding of server-client computing and relational database environments. Experience with relational database technologies; knowledge of Netezza is a plus. Proficiency in SQL, including Stored Procedures and DDL, DML, and DCL commands. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server utilities and tools, such as Backup, Recovery, and performance tuning. Experience with data management, data processing flowcharting, and reporting/query tools.
