| Senior Systems Engineer Visa: GC/USC/H4EAD/GC-EAD Must be local to Newark, DE Hybrid 2 days/week 6-month contract with low possibility of extension Top Skills: 1) Nutanix or VX Rail 2) Virtualization technologies - VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, or Microsoft 3) Windows and Linux based servers Job Description We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity that is hybrid in Newark, DE. The candidate selected will be responsible for the operations of computer systems related to operating systems, servers, and end-user workstations. Although the Senior Systems Engineer is not responsible for writing new application software, the candidate must demonstrate an understanding of how software behaves in order to deploy, configure and troubleshoot systems. Additionally, the candidate is expected to research new technologies and leverages optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently. What Youll Do Provide oversight and support to the companys client, server and cloud environments Establish and maintain technology standards for the companys client, server and cloud environments Prepare, test and manage disaster recovery plans and methods Provide guidance and mentor technology staff Provide technical guidance for design and implementation of new technology Build, manage and support Windows and Linux based servers on VXRail and Nutanix Maintain and manage server and related hardware Monitor and manage server and related device performance Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems, independently and in a team Create and maintain documentation, required for the operation and support of the companys client, server and cloud environments Manage and support all aspects of Active Directory and Entra ID Manage and support all or part of technology-based projects Manage and support virtual hardware, including networking, storage, and infrastructure Manage and support endpoint security systems, such as anti-virus, patch management and mobile device management (MDM) What Youll Need Required: Bachelors Degree in an IT related program or related area or 7 years of corporate experience in a similar position.
