(Only H1B and local to VA profiles) Role: Azure Production Support Engineer Locations: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3 Days every week. Job Description: Support Cloud Operations and they must have experience with supporting IT teams that have footprint in Azure from a platform perspective and using Azure marketplace tools. Ideal candidates should support UK business hours and North American hours AM/PM (with some overlap) to ensure there is a resource available to support for Production issues. Responsibilities: This is Azure PROD Support Role. Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 Azure Production support Respond to and resolve production incidents and outages Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive measures. Create / Maintain Scripts: Bash and PowerShell, to maintain the infrastructure. Create / Maintain Terraform Scripts Maintain and optimize Azure infrastructure for production environments. Monitor system health, performance, and security. Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions Perform capacity planning and cost optimization Automate routine tasks and create self-healing systems Implement and maintain security controls and compliance measures Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and scalability Manage and optimize Azure resources utilization Stay updated with new Azure features and best practices Manage and optimize costs through FinOps practices Assist in the design and implementation of new Azure-based solutions Document processes, configurations, and system architectures Mentor junior team members and share knowledge Mandatory Skills: Deep Azure Platform expertise: Deep knowledge of Azure services and architecture Understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Working Experience with Scripting Azure CLI, Bash, and PowerShell Working Experience with Terraform Experience in Incident Management, troubleshooting and Root cause Analysis on Azure using following: Azure Monitor Application Insights Log Analytics Advanced troubleshooting skills Azure Networking Experience: Configuring and Maintaining Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups Azure ExpressRoute and VPN configurations Load Balancers and Application Gateways Security Experience: Working experience in Azure Active Directory Configuring Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) Implementing Azure Key Vault Implementing Security best practices and compliance standards Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Azure Site Recovery Backup solutions Designing for resilience.
