From: Prashant Rana, Vyze inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Title : IBM Infosphere Data Replicator Consultant Location: Atlanta, GA (preferred) or Charlotte, NC Key Responsibilities: Database Replication Configuration and Management: Design, configure, and manage database replication environments using IBM InfoSphere Data Replicator (IIDR) to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity. Develop and implement replication strategies for various database systems, including but not limited to, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and PostgreSQL. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data replication, including data latency, consistency, and performance problems. Perform ongoing monitoring and tuning of replication processes to maintain optimal performance and reliability. Red Hat OpenShift Expertise: Deploy, manage, and scale applications on Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring that they are highly available and performant. Implement and manage containerized applications and services using OpenShift, including the configuration of pods, services, and routes. Develop and apply best practices for container orchestration and management in a cloud-native environment. Work with developers and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with client stakeholders, including database administrators, system architects, and application developers, to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance on data replication and OpenShift deployment. Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for both database replication and OpenShift-related issues. Prepare detailed documentation for replication configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and deployment processes. Participate in regular status meetings and provide updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions. Project Management and Optimization: Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and client expectations effectively. Continuously assess and optimize replication and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce overhead. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to data replication and container orchestration. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere Data Replicator (IIDR) and database replication technologies. At least 3 years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including practical experience in deploying and managing containerized applications. Proven experience in the banking domain or similar regulated industries is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of database architectures and replication mechanisms. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and process improvement. Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes in addition to OpenShift. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with containerized applications is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
