Job Description - Senior SQL Developer with DBA On-site - 5 days/week || Weehawken, NJ The Client is looking for a strong SQL specialist with DBA experience and performance running experience in MSSQL or Azure SQL we will consider local to Weehawken area candidates only, with no relocation even within the USA Project description You'll be working in the Client Discovery, Planning and Wealth Way team. We provide engineering services to WMA business divisions of the Global Investment Bank. Together as a team, we provide solutions to unique business/market requirements per established Corporate IT Standards. As a database specialist, you'll play an important role in developing functionalities and client-facing applications. Responsibilities bullet icon Design and develop large-scale applications bullet icon Collaborate to refine user requirements through test-driven development (TDD) bullet icon Working on creating end-to-end pipeline to load data by reading from multiple sources and load to landing layer or SQL tables bullet icon Analyze root causes of incidents and provide the solution bullet icon SQL Programming and DB administration bullet icon Working on performance running in MSSQL \\ Azure SQL Skills Must have bullet icon 5+ years of experience in SQL programming bullet icon Strong experience in performance tuning and DBA activities bullet icon Excellent understanding of relation transactional databases like MSSQL, Azure SQL and cloud-based frameworks like MS Azure bullet icon Experience with Cloud platforms\\tools (Azure is preferable) Nice to have bullet icon Experience in TSQL (MSSQL/SYBASE) code development, performance tuning, query optimization and extensive batch or ETL creation experience with better error handling. bullet icon Strong knowledge of Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes using frameworks like Azure Data Factory or Synapse or Databricks.
