Role: COBOL Architect Location: Albany, New York Client: NY State Description Agency is seeking to hire one Software Architect to work with staff for analysis, development and testing of all aspects of the DMV Modernization/Transformation initiatives. The DMV Modernization/Transformation program is a multi-phase, multi-year program, which includes an initial phase of modernization projects. Duties The candidate will be required to create/analyze the current system, document flows, gather user requirements, and create design documents and functional specifications. They will be responsible for the coding, debugging, unit testing and integration testing of all user requirements while adhering to program standards and specifications. They will assist with QA and User Acceptance testing and be responsible for migrating the source code to appropriate repositories and publishing the application to different environments. Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
