Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed on fabric trends, innovations, and competitive pricing strategies. Evaluate and select vendors based on factors such as quality, reliability, cost, and production capacity, ensuring alignment with company standards. Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes for the company, including decisions on pricing, margins, quantities, factory selection, and negotiations. Monitor supplier performance closely, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance in a timely manner. Oversee fabric inventory management, ensuring an adequate supply for production needs while minimizing excess stock and costs. Collaborate closely with the production team to accurately forecast fabric requirements based on upcoming orders and seasonal demands. Maintain detailed records of fabric orders, deliveries, and inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Textile Science, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in fabric sourcing, with a focus on the apparel industry. Deep knowledge of global fabric markets, trends, and sourcing strategies. Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms in complex negotiations. Proficiency in sourcing and inventory management software. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across teams and with external partners.
