| Job Title: .NET Lead Location: Hybrid - 50% onsite in Menands, NY (15 British American Boulevard, Latham, NY 12110) Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr on C2C Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Lead to join our team for a large-scale modernization project with the New York State Workers Compensation Board. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in .NET development, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment. Key Responsibilities: Front-End Development: Lead the development of visually appealing front-end applications using ASP.NET Core. Collaborate with the design team and understand user stories to drive development forward. Core technologies include Azure, .NET Core, C#, and cloud-based development (Azure preferred). Development Leadership: Provide substantial leadership to a development team, ensuring adherence to high-quality programming and testing standards. Conduct code reviews, assign tasks within a Scrum/Agile framework, and track progress. Ensure project success through effective communication with other development leads and leadership. Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback. Requirement Analysis: Interpret and validate user stories and requirements provided by the BA team. Communicate effectively with the development team to ensure clarity and understanding. Design Principles & SOA: Understand and apply design principles and standards from an application architecture perspective. Ensure the applications design aligns with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) standards. Top Skills Required: Minimum 7 years of experience with ASP.NET Core, focused on front-end development. Proven experience leading development teams (team size 4-6). Proficiency in cloud technologies (preferably Azure). Strong understanding of MVC architecture. Ability to perform hands-on development when necessary. Solid understanding of design principles and SOA. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred but not required. Demonstrated experience in unit testing and quality assurance. Strong technical acumen, particularly in .NET Core and related technologies. Ability to work closely with ITS SMEs and other stakeholders. Work Environment: This role requires 50% onsite presence in Menands, NY, with the remainder being remote. The team operates within a close-knit environment, supporting a significant modernization effort using cutting-edge technologies.
