This role ensures the reliable and efficient operation of storage systems, supporting critical business applications and data. Key Responsibilities: Storage Infrastructure Management: Plan, install, configure, and administer storage hardware (Dell, Oracle) according to best practices. Ensure high availability and performance of storage systems in a 24x7 environment. Manage RAID configurations, disk management tools, and storage allocation. Perform health checks, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of storage arrays and switches. Implement and manage remote and local replication concepts. Backup and Recovery: Administer Windows servers and configure storage devices for efficient data backup and recovery. Install and configure backup master and media servers. Implement backup in cluster and SAN environments. Configure robotic libraries, storage units, volume pools, and disk staging. Design and implement backup policies, including multi-streaming, multiplexing, and media management. Take ORACLE and SAP-specific backups. Perform catalog consistency checks and NDMP configuration. Configure and troubleshoot VMware consolidated backups. Optimize backup performance and troubleshoot slow backups. Assist clients with backup job definitions, netbackup, and media manager configuration on various platforms. SAN Infrastructure: Manage Fiber Channel SAN infrastructure, including fabric architecture, switch directors, and zoning. Integrate new hosts with storage arrays. Install and configure multi-path software for load balancing and failover. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in administering storage systems (Dell, Oracle) in enterprise environments. Deep understanding of storage technologies, including RAID, SAN, and NAS. Expertise in backup and recovery solutions (e.g., NetBackup). Strong knowledge of Windows server administration and networking. Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware). Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in storage technologies (e.g., EMC, NetApp, VMware).
