| Role Name: Storage Administrator Location: Denver, CO Role Description: The System Administrator is responsible for managing the storage environment, ensuring high levels of data quality and availability, and providing 24x7 support in a storage environment. Key responsibilities include: Planning and Management Plan and manage the installation, configuration, administration, and documentation of storage hardware according to best practices. Data Quality & Availability Ensure high levels of data quality and availability for all enterprise and customer environments. New Host Integration Integrate new hosts with storage arrays. Software Installation & Configuration Install and configure multi-path software on hosts for load balancing and failover. Fiber Channel SAN Management Manage Fiber Channel SAN infrastructure, including fabric architecture, switch directors, and zoning. Storage System Implementation & Management Implement and manage Dell and Oracle enterprise and mid-tier storage subsystems. RAID & Disk Management Configure RAID and use disk management tools. Health Checks Perform health checks of storage arrays and switches. Storage Allocation Allocate storage based on server requirements. Performance Analysis Analyze the performance of storage arrays. Replication Manage remote and local replication concepts. Troubleshooting Troubleshoot issues directly or indirectly related to storage systems from an end-to-end perspective. Capacity Management Manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise-wide storage capacity to ensure available capacity as expected.
