The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions that leverage the full capabilities of GCP. You will work closely with our development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure, optimize performance, and enhance our cloud architecture. Responsibilities: Design and Architecture: Develop and implement cloud-based solutions on GCP that meet the business and technical requirements. This includes designing cloud architecture, selecting appropriate GCP services, and ensuring high availability and scalability. Deployment and Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize GCP resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components. Implement best practices for monitoring, security, and cost management. Automation and Scripting: Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent. Develop scripts for automation of routine tasks. Security and Compliance: Ensure that all cloud solutions adhere to company security policies and industry best practices. Implement GCP security features such as IAM roles, VPC configurations, and encryption mechanisms. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, data engineers, and DevOps to integrate cloud solutions into the overall IT ecosystem. Provide technical guidance and support to team members. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor cloud performance and make adjustments to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Implement scaling strategies to handle increasing workloads. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. Provide timely support and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of problems. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes. Create user guides and runbooks to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
