Overview: Core focus is a sustainable technical architecture, and the role is responsible for the design of one or more end-to-end solutions, a product or a business or IT service. Works closely with cross functional business and technical teams. The individual has a balanced mix of technical and very strong business skills, working with an enterprise architect for strategic direction. The individual leads the overall technical vision for a particular platform (across all modules) or solution(s) to provide a business product or a business/IT service. The individual can make technical decisions regarding a solution, and how the technology design impacts business outcomes. The development or infrastructure teams use the information to implement the solution to meet business outcomes. The individual has very strong Director level leadership and behavior competencies. Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver appropriate solutions across application or infrastructure platforms Assist Enterprise Architects in defining enterprise vison Define and enforce application development standards across the enterprise Ensure solutions designed adhere to enterprise architecture standards Stay up to date on platform, infrastructure/application development technologies and capabilities Expert in application development, database design, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise policies, industry regulations, and best practices Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements Communicate risks and solutions to cross functional key stakeholders Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and products that will support business and IT requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners, and vendors Evaluate and develop application level architectures for application development Develop, in concert with Application Architects a reliable, top performing and cost-effective platform architecture Lead the development and maintenance of the [platform strategy and architecture Organize the development effort Provide motivation and guidance to the entire development team during the systems development life cycle Responsible for the vision that underlies the solution and the execution of that vision into the solution Looks after the programming, integration, and testing of software systems and associated devices Select the most appropriate technology for a problem, and involve balancing architectural concerns of the project with the concerns of the enterprise Responsible for: o how technology can be used to solve a given business problem o which framework, platform, or tech-stack can be used to create a solution o how the application will look, what the modules will be, and how they interact with each other o how things will scale for the future and how they will be maintained o figuring out the risk in third-party frameworks/platforms o finding a solution to a business problem Job Description Template Page 2 Effective: 04/01/2017 o the sustainability of a solution Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience 10 or more years of work experience in IT, with a broad exposure to different platforms and technologies Expert knowledge of solution/application development issues, techniques, and implications across one or more platforms Broad experience with and exposure to multiple platform environments to enable the proper perspective and ability to design application or infrastructure solutions at an enterprise level Strong attention to detail Ability to analyze and solve problems Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and disciplines Executive level people and process skills Can explain to senior executives a complex problem in laymen's terms Strong understanding of business' processes in order to create a cohesive vision of a usable product Strong attention to detail Strong influencer Strategic thinker/mindset Executive presence Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and disciplines Significant people and process skills Change Agent with Managerial Courage Coaching Delivers Results Drives Vision & Purpose Influencing Servant Leadership Strategic Mindset Highest level of communications skills including story telling Can develop presentations at an executive level Can communicate complex technical concepts in business terms Can influence strategic decision making Expanded technical knowledge in more than 1 area of a platform (SAP, Microsoft, SalesForce) Preferred Qualifications Graduate Degree Keywords: information technology Solutions Architect with Databricks or Snowflake (Local) [email protected] |
