Role: COBOL Architect Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9789 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 09/03/24 5:00 PM Description Agency is seeking to hire one Software Architect to work with staff for analysis, development and testing of all aspects of the DMV Modernization/Transformation initiatives. The DMV Modernization/Transformation program is a multi-phase, multi-year program, which includes an initial phase of modernization projects. Duties The candidate will be required to create/analyze the current system, document flows, gather user requirements, and create design documents and functional specifications. They will be responsible for the coding, debugging, unit testing and integration testing of all user requirements while adhering to program standards and specifications. They will assist with QA and User Acceptance testing and be responsible for migrating the source code to appropriate repositories and publishing the application to different environments. Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience of COBOL/CICS/JCL/EZTrieve, in version z/OS 4.2.0/V3.2 or above 48 months experience of converting COBOL to an object oriented language (C#/.NET or Java) 84 months experience of DB2/SQL in version 10 or above 84 months experience of Software Design including the creation of program specifications, prototyping, and the development of logical data models. 84 months experience of Business/Systems Analysis including preparing functional specifications documenting workflow processes in UML modeling tools such as Visual Paradigm, Visio analyzing system to determine possible problem areas 48 months experience of SOA development including the use of XML and SoapUi/WSDL in version 3.5.1 or above 84 months debugging experience using CA-Interest or equivalent to resolve program problems and resolve user/system issues. 84 months Source Management with experience in both Endevor and TFS/Source Tree 84 months experience of developing test cases, executing test plans, and validating testing as both the program and system level Rsum Copy of Candidate Identification (i.e., Drivers License/Green Card/Visa and Passport if applicable) Any documents referenced in the above Requested Qualifications (i.e., professional certifications, degrees, etc.) Ashok Reddy Akkala Team Lead Sligo Software Solutions Inc.
