The Storage Administrator is a person with the technical knowledge and experience to manage the customer environment.2. The principal responsibility of the Storage Administrator position is to plan and manage the installation,configuration,administration and documentation of storage hardware according to best practices. 3. Ensuring high-levels of data quality and availability for all enterprise and customers in a 24x7 support Storage environment like Dell and Oracle Storage arrays.4. New Host Integration with Storage arrays.5. Installation and configuration of Multi-path software on hosts for load balancing and fail over.6. Expertise in managing Fiber Channel SAN infrastructure including fabric architecture,switch directors and zoning.7. Experience in Implementation and management Dell,Oracle enterprise and mid-tier Storage subsystems.8. Experience in RAID Configurations and Disk management tools.9. Experience in Performing Health Check of storage arrays and switches. 10. Experience in Performing storage allocation based on the server requirement.11. Strong Knowledge on Performance analysis of Storage arrays.12. Experience in remote replication and local replication concepts.13. Troubleshoot issues directly or indirectly related to storage systems from an end to end perspective.14. Manage, monitor and optimize enterprise wide storage capacity to ensure available capacity where expected. Competencies: IT IS_DCS_Storage Admin_HDS Experience (Years): 8+ Essential Skills: 1. Installations& Configurations of Backup master and media servers.4. Implementation of Backup in a Cluster Environment .5. Implementation of Backup in a SAN environment .6. Configuration of different types of Robotic Library .Configuring Storage Units , Volume Pools & Disk Staging .7. Designing Policies.8. Multi-streaming and Multiplexing.9. Media and Device Management.10. Taking ORACLE and SAP specific backups.11. Catalog Consistency Check.12. NDMP Configuration..13. Configuration & troubleshooting VMware Consolidated backups14. Tuning for slow Backups.15. Helping the client to install, configure and troubleshoot backup job definitions,16. Assisting the customer in configuring netback up and media manager on various Unix flavors like Linux,HP-UX, and Windows.17. Configuring and troubleshooting Robotic Libraries and Tape drives for backups connected using SCSI/Fiber optic, Installation various UNIX platforms like Solaris, Linux and Windows Platform.18. Helping Clients patch up their edition to the latest patch level to resolve the discrepancies with the previous edition/patch level.19. Client environment involves heterogeneous SAN configuration including NetApp Filers VTL drives, VmWare Servers, etc. along with Shared Drives utilizing NetBackup SSO.
