We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Back End specializing in Golang and AWS . You will work as part of our Core Modernization group within Capital Ones U.S. Credit Card division , where we are re-imagining our Card Core Platform by leveraging the latest serverless architectures, microservices, and real-time systems to create innovative, resilient solutions for our premium customers. Team Information: Youll be part of an agile and hands-on team focused on building and modernizing the Card Core Platform. The team is utilizing Golang, Python, and functional programming to develop serverless microservices that drive intelligent, real-time experiences. Our tech stack is hosted on Gen3 Cloud and utilizes cutting-edge serverless patterns, ensuring scalability and efficiency. What Youll Do: Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement full-stack solutions. Stay on top of emerging tech trends and experiment with new technologies, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior engineers. Work closely with digital product managers to deliver powerful, cloud-based solutions aimed at financial empowerment. Utilize programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, Node.js, SQL, and more, alongside AWS services like Docker and Kubernetes to build and support applications. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience not included). Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Golang, Python, Java, Node.js, or Scala. 1+ years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience working with serverless architectures, microservices, and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of functional programming.
