Position: Business Intelligence Engineer Location: USA, PA (Initial Remote) Duration: Contract to Hire Exp: 10+ years (Mini) Mandate Skills: MicroStrategy / Tableau, Dimensional Data modelling, Logical & Physical Data modelling, Data Vault 2.0 model for Snowflake, Data visualizations / interactive dashboards, Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, Data & Analytics, Data integration tools such as Talend, Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. Role & Responsibilities: The primary role for the Business Intelligence Engineer is to work on integrating data from a variety of source systems and presenting it through an array of self-service applications. The BI Engineer will support all development efforts including data analysis, data modelling and data design tasks as well as the creation of metrics and attributes to be consumed by interactive dashboards and data visualizations tools like MicroStrategy and Tableau that are widely used throughout the organization. Additionally, the BI Engineer will be instrumental in the creation of optimal reporting structures at the database for ongoing reporting and analytics. Will be partnering with the business stakeholders, Product Owners, Product Managers and data engineers for translating business requirements into data requirements and structures for schema creation. Must Haves: 5+ years experience in designing and implementing the data structures (conceptual, logical, physical & dimensional models) for reporting tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau or any reporting tools Developing Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions on one or more of the following EDW platforms: Snowflake, Cloudera Impala, Hive, and BW on HANA 2+ years experience with Snowflake, SQL and Big Data solutions Strong knowledge of key scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java. Experience with data integration tools such as Talend Proven track record working with complex, interrelated systems and bringing that data together on Big Data platforms. Expertise / In-Depth Database Knowledge SQL and NoSQL.
