Job Description - Title: Enterprise Network Systems Administrator Location: Alhambra, CA, 91803 (California resident candidates only) Shift timing: Monday to Thursday (6:30 AM to 5:15 PM) Duration: 12+ months Note: Resume should of maximum 3-4 pages. Position Description: The Enterprise Network Systems Administrator (or Network Administrator) (ENSA) works under the direction of a Principal Network Systems Administrator (PNSA) Supervisor who manages and oversees all aspects of work for the Enterprise Network. The ENSA is responsible for overseeing an organizations computer systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security. The ENSA applies their information technology expertise to their employers computer systems. The ENSA duties include working with other network professionals and IT staff to update cyber security measures, install hardware or software devices and troubleshoot problems. The ENSA is responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware; installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues; updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected; monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks; communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users; and fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems. Skills Required: The ENSA will possess knowledge and experience in customer service; decision making; flexibility; interpersonal skills; leadership; organizational awareness; problem solving, reasoning; team building; oral communication, speaking and writing; business process, project management; quality assurance; requirements analysis and risk management; configuration, data, and information management; information resources strategy and planning; information technology architecture; information technology performance assessment; and technology awareness. The following technology skill sets are required to perform in this classification: Cisco ATA, Cisco ACI, Cisco APIC, Cisco Prime, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, CACTI, eCloud, Elastic Search, ITM, Open NMS, nGenius, McAfee; MVISION, NetScout, SCOM; UTR; StruxureWare, Secure Works WAF (WAN App FW) toolset, Wireshark, & Web CTRL. Hands on experience with configuring routers and switches using command line Cisco IOS. Knowledge and understanding of BGP, EIGRP routing protocols. Experience Required: This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols, have computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware, and increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies; must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years in a security monitoring role. Within the past five years, a minimum of three years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and administering the following: 1. Cisco devices, routing and switching, including hands on experience with configuring routers and switches using command line Cisco IOS and experience with BGP, EIGRP routing protocols. 2. VLANS, port interfaces, port channels, subnets, and updating Cisco IOS. 3. IPSEC and GRE tunnels. 4. Cisco wireless controllers and access points. 5. Firewalls specifically Palo Alto PAN-OS 11.0 and higher versions, as well as Cisco Firepower FTD and FMC 7.2.X and higher versions. 6. TACACS, SNMP, and ACLs. 7. Cisco cellular enabled routers. Education Required: This classification requires the possession of a bachelors degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Additional Information: Working days are Monday to Thursday. Overtime may be required after hours. California resident candidates only. Required to drive personal vehicle to Los Angeles County offices. Los Angeles County does not reimburse temporary contractors for mileage.
