| Greetings of the day JOB TITLE: Digital Connectivity Network Engineer DURATION:12 Months Contract COMPENSATION: Pay rate - $60/hr on CTC USC/GC LOCATION : San Diego, CA 92123 - Hybrid 3 days onsite mandatory (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) CLIENT - Solar Turbines Only Locals USC/GC JOB PURPOSE: As a Network Engineer, you will contribute in providing 2nd/3rd layer support for the connectivity team (especially KIC and GIC) in order to maintain a desired level of service for our customers. JOB DUTIES: Responsibilities of the incumbents are to troubleshoot connectivity problems and be able to identify root cause and fix it proactively. Collaborate with the connectivity team to be reactive on their request and constantly use the monitoring tool to be proactive on problem identification. Competent to troubleshoot connectivity issue without close supervision. Competent to configure, test different type of secure tunnels that meet defined requirements. Able to analyze a dump of ethernet traffic, identifying eventual anomalies. Works directly on complex technical problem identification and resolution. Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. Create and analyze network schema that document the complexity of delivered services. Manage Linux platform used for remote connection Collaborate with a team of network engineers to optimize and iterate on connectivity solutions. Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Solar Digital management from time to time. Basic qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Network engineering. 5 year or more of relevant industry experience. 5 year or more of experience with designing, delivering and maintaining/troubleshooting network infrastructure. 5 year or more of Network engineering experience: oGood knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 (switching and routing) oGood knowledge network tunneling: IPSec, Wireguard, GRE oGood knowledge of Linux operating system oGood knowledge of Iptables Top candidates will also have: Interest in working collaboratively with engineering leadership, product owners, Network engineering and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently with small degree of supervision. Good knowledge of Cisco and Juniper devices for switching and routing Knowledge of command line tool for troubleshooting: otcpdump owireshark oiperf Good knowledge of Firewall/Appliance: oVyOS oPaloAlto oCisco Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
