Title: Active Directory Engineer Duration: Long Term Contract Location: Princeton, NJ (Day 1 Onsite) Note:: Need Active Directory candidate with Group Policy, Entra ID and Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Interview mode: Web Ex/Teams Joining: ASAP this is the description. Proven experience as an Active Directory Administrator in a large enterprise environment. - In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture, design, and implementation. - Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and associated technologies. - Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and management. - Experience with Group Policy management and troubleshooting. - Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures within Active Directory. - Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions for Active Directory. - Advanced administrative knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid identities. - Ability to create and manage on-prem, cloud-only, and hybrid identities across multiple tenants through the GUI or programmatically using PowerShell. - Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate are a plus. Duties and Responsibilities: Active Directory Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory structures that align with organizational requirements and best practices. User and Group Management: Create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient access to network resources. Group Policy Management: Develop and enforce Group Policies to standardize and secure desktop configurations, application settings, and security settings across the network. Azure/Entra ID Administration: Manage the administration, implementation, and maintenance of Entra ID infrastructures, including hybrid identities and conditional access policies. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to Active Directory, Entra ID, authentication, and access control in a timely and efficient manner. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Backup and Recovery: Establish and maintain reliable backup and recovery processes for Active Directory and Entra ID, ensuring minimal downtime during data loss or system failure. Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory and Entra ID services with other systems, applications, and infrastructure components. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Active Directory and Entra ID configurations, policies, and procedures. Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure the security and performance of the Active Directory and Entra ID environment. Monitoring and Reporting: Implement solutions to proactively identify and address issues and generate regular reports on system performance and security.
