As an RF Antenna Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our cellular wireless devices. You will be responsible for assessing platform-level performance across various cellular technologies, focusing on EMI and RF parameters such as antenna sensitivity and coex losses. Responsibilities: Implement in-house test systems and execute validation & characterization test plans. Perform failure analysis to understand low margin or failing behaviors, utilizing experimental software, firmware, and mock-up hardware. Collaborate with test equipment vendors, technology suppliers, and cross-functional teams to optimize RF parametric performance. Track validation status, analyze results, and effectively communicate issues and insights from data. Prepare devices under test and setups for validation preparedness. Qualifications: Practical knowledge of at least one cellular wireless technology, including 3G, 4G, and 5G. Strong understanding of cellular industry standards, such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, and carrier specifications. Deep experience in system-level RF parametric analysis and its sources in RF component characteristics and behavior. Hands-on experience with bench-level wireless testing, debugging at the module, reference board, or system level. Understanding of antenna characteristics and their impact on radiated testing. Familiarity with radiated test setups, radiated chamber calibration, and usage. Proficiency in using RF lab test equipment. Ability to travel domestically (between Cupertino and San Diego). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience required.
